Hello, you all there. Hope you all are staying healthy and safe in this lockdown period.
You may or may not wonder that you are not getting enough time to stay healthy. So, don’t worry I am here, writing a few things which will keep you healthy.
Don’t wonder to know that exercise is not only a way to stay healthy but it is one of them.
so let’s start from here.
#1. PHYSICALLY ACTIVE
It is one of the best ways to stay healthy as it keeps your body moving. Here, you can do some home exercise, home workout, yoga etc.
As mentioned not necessarily to do heavy exercises, but do some home tasks as many of you may help your parents in household work like cooking, washing, moving, etc.
Don’t be a couch potato. Enjoy this time by helping your parents. They will appreciate your presence in their work.
#2 STAY HYDRATED
Everyone needs to stay hydrated as you all are aware about the fact that our body is made up of 70% of water and also aware about drinking at least 3-4litre water per day.
Now let me know how many of you are actually doing it. It not only keeps you hydrated but also allows you to stay calm, light and energetic and helps in proper functioning of your body.
It is not needed to drink water only when you feel thirst but to avoid this keep drinking small amount of water after every 1-2 hour.
#3. LIMIT YOUR NEWS TIME
Well this point is about your “mental health” which ultimately affects the whole health. We all are going through this pandemic collectively.
Hence it is very important to keep calm in situation like this. To avoid stress, limit your news or bulletin time and focus on your priorities.
Watching excessive news will only give you headache, or mental stress which will cut down your concentration in other work.
You will worry as much as you see. So, it’s better to distance yourself from worrisome things which impacts your health.
#4. SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY
This is the time you get to spend with your family. Everyone thought of ‘I wish I could give more time to the family‘.
So, here is the time you can use for. Give time to your parents, your wife, your child. Do play with them, dinner with them, fun with them and love them.
This is the time where you need your family and your family needs you. Don’t know when you get this opportunity again.
You have it today, use it today do not wait for tomorrow. Live your life today.
#5. DEVELOP GOOD HABITS
As you know that this is the time where your schedule is moving upside down. There is no proper schedule for anything as it was before for students, housewives, employees, businessmen.
I know it’s hard to keep that schedule that is totally fine but at least you try to manage a little discipline. If you’re a night owl then why not keep this journey to be an early riser.
You just have to start with baby steps like go to bed 20-30 mins before your daily time and wake up 20-30 min early from your daily routine do it for a week or so and then extend according to your will.
If you already wake up early do some exercise or meditation that keeps you fresh and you can add more good things.
#6. LEARN NEW SKILLS
Many of you find yourself bored or think that you are wasting your time or your learning stops. Let me tell you that there are so many ways to keep you learning a number of skills.
I personally do it, that’s why I am sharing it with you. You can learn or earn a skill. Many platforms provide free courses and certificates.
Instead of mentioning courses or platforms, I will suggest you go on YouTube and search for this (Tricky Man). He is uploading a video daily on free courses.
From this, you can choose your platform and courses. This will allow you to work and keep you physically and mentally healthy. Give it a try.
#7. KEEP YOURSELF POSITIVE
This is the time not to be tense or worried but to stay positive and make others too. Always keep yourself positive in every situation if it is pandemic though.
Being positive itself has an indirect impact on your health. For keeping yourself positive you can do meditation, read books, talk with friends, move your body, have a positive attitude and involve yourself in learning. Stay positive, stay motivated.
#8. CHALLENGE YOURSELF
Yes, you heard it right. Give challenges to yourself there are so many things that we want to do but we can’t for not having enough time or it may be an excuse.
Now, leave all excuses behind the curtain and come up to do something new for example challenge yourself for early to bed and early to rise, challenge yourself for 15-25 days or challenge yourself that you do reading 30 min every day or will limit the time of using your phone or doing 15 min exercise daily.
You can choose according to your goal. You give time to everyone and everything, let’s steal some time for yourself and do something for you and believe me you will love to give time to yourself.
#9. TAKING A HEALTHY DIET
This is the most essential one. Well, I believe these days everyone is having homemade food.
If you are craving for fast food then, give it a try at home. Cook it and serve It at the table before everyone in the family.
keep yourself stuck with a healthy diet and do not make most of the days oily food. It is okay to change your taste sometime. So keep making healthy and new recipes at home. Make your stomach happy with your recipes. Eat healthy and live happily.
